I’ve never been to Miami, so this is a collaborative post

If there’s one city that knows how to crank the volume on fun, it’s Miami. My impressions of Miami are favorite shows like S Club 7 or Dexter, so when I think of Miami, I envision a coastal hotspot that’s a sun-kissed playground of neon lights, sultry salsa tunes, and a skyline that basically begs you to take a thousand selfies. Whether you’re a party animal, a foodie, or someone who just really likes pastel buildings (we see you, Insta crowd), here’s your ticket to turning any Miami trip into the stuff of legends.

1. Start your day like a local (caffeine, please!)

No Miami adventure is complete without a strong dose of Cuban coffee. Ask for a colada if you’re feeling brave—this stuff is rocket fuel in a tiny cup, guaranteed to launch you into the day with your eyebrows halfway up your forehead. If you’re more of a sweet tooth, a cortadito might become your new obsession: think espresso, but with a frothy layer of hot milk that tastes like a caffeinated cloud.

2. Hit the beach for maximum vitamin D

Listen, you didn’t come all this way to hide indoors. South Beach is the place to see and be seen, with all sorts of colorful characters wandering the shoreline like it’s a real-life runway. Don’t forget that Miami sun can go from friendly golden rays to “I will melt your face off” in a hot second, so slather on the SPF. Unless, of course, you fancy sporting the “lobster chic” look all night long.

3. Feast like you mean it

Calling all foodies: Florida’s cuisine is a direct result of its vibrant cultural mix. You’ll find fresh seafood, Latin American flavors, and more fruit-based cocktails than you ever thought possible. Feeling adventurous? Try fritas (Cuban-style hamburgers) or a heaping plate of ropa vieja (shredded beef in a savory sauce) before you dance away the calories later. Pro tip: Loosen your belt; you’re going to need the extra space.

4. When in doubt, dance it out

Whether your dance moves are more “stumbling giraffe” than “Dancing with the Stars,” Miami’s nightlife is the perfect place to bust a move. From salsa clubs where the rhythm is so contagious you’ll forget you can’t salsa, to rooftop lounges with panoramic views, you’ll find a spot to dance until dawn. Let the music do the talking (and the swaying).

5. Yacht life or bust

If you’re really aiming for that “living the dream” vibe, you’ve got to experience Miami from the water. Charter a yacht—yes, an actual yacht—for a few hours and glide past million-dollar mansions like you own the place (hey, a little daydreaming never hurt anyone). And if you somehow manage to catch the yacht bug for good, know there’s always a boatyard Miami Fl can offer to help make those floating fantasies a reality. Because in Miami, going extra is basically mandatory.

6. Soak up the art and culture

Sure, the beaches and nightlife are huge draws, but don’t sleep on Miami’s flourishing art scene. The Wynwood Walls street art district is a kaleidoscope of color and creativity. Stroll around, snap some photos, and maybe pick up a hipster coffee from a local cafĂ© to truly seal the artsy deal. And if you’re anything like me, maybe you’ll try to find some filming locations for those favorite shows I mentioned above.

Don’t forget to take that Miami energy home with you!
