The perfect tee
I cannot say enough good things about the Tee Rex from Universal Standard. I got my first tee from them for free through a promotion several years ago and since then I've bought numerous tees (and other items) from them. The first tee I got close to five years ago is still in perfect condition though I've worn it a lot. It holds up through washing and lots of wear. And can be styled so many ways from casual to professional.
Custom ring in solid gold
A solid gold piece is priceless. Everyone should have one gold piece. I've listed the ring on here because most people are good with a ring - it's something that can be worn all the time. And honestly a second ring is high on my list for my next piece of jewelry. But anything from Automic Gold is an incredible investment. The prices are a little higher and there are never discounts, but the pieces are entirely gold all the way through (never plated or hollow), there's no middle man, and they pay their employees a living wage. It's also a queer-owned company, which is a plus.
100% cashmere sweater
I've never had a cashmere sweater, but we all know it's the best of the best when it comes to sweater material. They can definitely be pricey, but Naadam has the $75 sweater that's ethically made from 100% cashmere. And they have some extended sizes.
Lightweight puffer coat
You either love or hate a puffer coat, but there's no denying that they're incredibly warm. I particularly love this one because it's not heavy (though it is "puffery"), and its' a more flattering shape. I love the unique closures (zipper, buttons, and then the tie!). Plus the sleeves end in this under layer of sweater-like material, and the pockets are lined with fleece, making this coat absolutely incredible.
Leather boots
A good, quality pair of leather boots of leather shoes will last for years, if not decades. Nisolo is a small, ethically-run leather company out of Nashville. They produce boots, other shoes, bags, and more leather goods and accessories. Their Dari boot is my favorite and so comfortable for a shoe with a heel. I love them. But I'm always looking at all of their shoes and want to buy everything. Right now, everything is 25% off, and in the new year, things will be up to 60% off!
High-waisted skinnies
Another classic staple is a pair of high-waisted denim skinnies. They can be worn with everything, from a tee to a nice sweater, to a classic blazer. The high-waisted cut is so comfortable and flattering. Every single pair of jeans I've bought from Universal Standard has fit so well and made me feel so lovely and confident. I cannot rave about them enough.
Leather mules
While I love a pair of tan boots (like those above), leather mules are another go-to. They're so easy to just slip on and go, whether it's just to run to the grocery store, for travel, or just around the house. These are perfect gift for anyone in your life (or for yourself!).
Fashionable yet cozy loungewear
If 2020 is any indication of our fashion goals in 2021, loungewear is 100% the way to go. We could all use more joggers and leggings. I love this matching jogger and cropped hoodie set, and the coordination of the set makes it somehow feel more put together, classier. And Girlfriend is size inclusive, so one of these sets is perfect for all the folks you love.
All of these pieces are timeless. Which ones are calling to you?
