101 in 1001 Update #5
Tuesday, November 14, 2017
Since the last update was in August, it's time for a quarterly 101 in 1001 update. Check up what I've been up to these past three months!
Adventure, Fun, & New Things
1. Travel to five new places (at least two new states). We missed out on our trip to NOLA because of weather, but I got to travel to St. Louis for a conference for work, which was pretty neat.

10. Buy an Atlanta CityPASS for Andre and I and be a tourist in our own city. Instead of our trip to NOLA, we opted for a staycation using CityPASS for our second anniversary.
21. Go to a painting
and drinks type class. I did this with some girlfriends and painted to most adorable cow!
30. Try three new types of food. I gave custard a try the other day (it's basically ice cream made with eggs, I guess).
Health, Beauty & Fitness
45. Climb a rock wall. Did it!.
Blog
71. Increase my
Bloglovin' following to 200. I'm at 65 now. Follow me here!
Books & TV
77. Read at least 100 books. I'm currently at 92 books. I've read only 8 books since August.
78. Complete a reading challenge each year. Working on that 2017 challenge.

Love & Marriage
92. Take a two-year anniversary trip. Unfortunately, we cancelled the trip we had planned to NOLA (weather, see above). But we took a trip to Atlanta and had a pretty cool staycation.
Give Back
95. Do at least six random acts of kindness each year. Again - I don't really keep track of this, but I do these pretty regularly.
96. Donate blood two times each year. I've met my goal for 2017 and have donated twice.

99. Complete my Master's degree in Student Affairs/Counseling with a 3.5 or higher GPA. Still working on it . My GPA is currently 3.8, and I'm almost done with my fourth semester. I still have five courses left, with a graduation date of May 2019.
What goals are you currently working towards? Are you completing a 101 in 1001? A 30 before 30? A monthly goal list? Let me know about your goals in the comments below. I'd love to cheer you on!

Sounds like you are kicking butt!! Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI hope to get back to better goal setting next year myself. This year has thrown me for a loop.

I totally understand. I have to really force myself sometimes to meet goals - but it's so worth it to mark it off the list.
DeleteI finally joined in with an update, only like 5 days late. I was sorry to hear about your trip getting cancelled, but you guys definitely made the best of it with a staycation since Atlanta is a pretty awesome city to call home. Congrats on climbing the rock wall, that is definitely one of those things that I love but am terrible at
ReplyDeleteSometimes I am so late with my updates, but I was pretty good on this one.
DeleteWe definitely tried to make the best of our situation, but I'd loved to have gone to somewhere new.
And thanks - I wasn't the best at it, but I did much better than I had expected of myself.
