I'm pretty excited because my city just opened a new library. We had a library before, but it was small and had some accessibility issues. The new location is more modern, with a ramp leading through different layers, accessible desks and computers, and a full audio-visual section. There's also a unique children's room with STEM-focused activities and even a walled-in outside area.

My mom, a friend, and I visited on Saturday for the grand opening and ribbon-cutting. I was excited to get an early preview of the location, though I unfortunately did not get a chance to take any inside pictures before it got too crowded. I did, however, get some pictures of the exterior, including the new drive-thru (perfect if I need to just pick up a book I have on hold, instead of 15 book I see on the NEW BOOKS shelf!).




They even hosted a blind date with a book event and we get to keep those books!



Other events were the ribbon cutting, guest speakers, raffles, caricature drawings, and more. I'm super excited about the new library (which is about a mile from my house), which has study rooms, board rooms, and more! I can't wait to be back as a regular.
