Creating the Perfect Bridesmaids Giftbags
Thursday, October 01, 2015
So, it's time to get gifts for your bridal party and you have no clue what to get them. They've worked hard and diligently to make sure your big day is a perfect as you want it to be. What do you do?
Many brides opt for lush, expensive gifts- jewelry or monogrammed anything. But maybe, that's not what your 'maids are into. Maybe every single one of them is so picky, you don't want to risk getting her something that she may not be into. Or maybe, in the rush of everything, you just haven't ordered a gift yet and your wedding's a week away.
Never fear- I come bearing ideas for the perfect bridesmaid bags!
When picking out gifts for my bridal party, I realized that 3 out of 4 of them are always so busy, working or with baby, I thought it would be a great idea to create a relaxation kit for each of them. Even better, each kit cost less than $10, so it helped me to stay under my very small budget.*
I'm a big fan of kraft paper, so I bought a set of 4 kraft paper gift bags from my local Dollar Tree, and burgundy paper scraps for stuffing. The kit included the following:
Mainstays Apple Pumpkin small jarred candle - $1
Gold Bond Ultimate Healing skin therapy cream- $1
Aches & Pains Muscle Relief bath soak- $1
Blue Agave facial paper mask- $1
Lindt Truffles variety pack- $1 per 3 pieces (12-pack $4)
Sutter Home Moscato (or wine of your choice)- $2 (4-pack $8)
All items in this kit come in several varieties, so feel free to pick and choose which ones you think your 'maids would like best. I also opted for the Mainstays brand candle, but a small Bath & Body Works candle would work great too.
If you'd like to add more personalization into mix, you could opt for monogrammed makeup bags to place all the items in, instead of gift bags.
Feel free to make it your own, however you're more comfortable!
xx,
*I do realize that this type of bridesmaid gift isn't for everyone, but for those trying to stay under a tight budget, this could be just the thing!
